Wyeth Can't Combine Texas Prempro Cases: Judge

Law360, New York (June 30, 2010, 2:03 PM EDT) -- A federal court has shot down Wyeth Inc.'s request to partially consolidate nine cases remanded from multidistrict litigation that allege the drugmaker’s Prempro and other hormone replacement therapy drugs caused breast cancer.

Judge Lee Rosenthal of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas on Monday determined that combining the product liability cases before a single district judge was not necessary or advantageous.
