United American 'Greenmailing' Case Tossed

Law360, New York (June 30, 2010, 5:35 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has dismissed a case filed by a shareholder looking to unseat board members at flagging United American Healthcare Corp., saying most of the claims of “greenmailing” and other malfeasance belong in Michigan state court.

The one federal claim in the fraud case against UAHC— that it lied on a proxy statement — is too short on specifics, Judge Stephen Murphy of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan said Monday.
