Law360, New York (July 01, 2010, 4:22 PM ET) -- Bimbo Bakeries USA has been hit with another employment suit, this one alleging the bakery behemoth misclassifies its delivery drivers, denying them employment benefits and rights while forcing them to pay for their trucks and distribution rights.
The class action complaint, filed Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, claims Bimbo Bakeries, which makes Thomas’ English Muffins, Entenmann’s and an array of other popular products, improperly classifies its delivery drivers as independent contractors under an “unlawful and unconscionable” distribution agreement....
