Obama Signs Bill Imposing Tough Sanctions On Iran

Law360, New York (July 1, 2010, 6:26 PM EDT) -- President Barack Obama signed strict new sanctions on Iran into law Thursday, saying the measures were intended to strike “at the heart” of Iran's nuclear programs.

“We are showing the Iranian government that its actions have consequences,” the president added. “And if it persists, the pressure will continue to mount, and its isolation will continue to deepen.”
