IDC Settles Shareholder Complaints Over $3.4B Sale

Law360, New York (July 6, 2010, 4:05 PM EDT) -- Interactive Data Corp. has reached a deal to put to rest a consolidated shareholder class action alleging the company's $3.4 billion sale to private equity firms Warburg Pincus LLC and Silver Lake Technology Management LLC was unfair to the firm's minority shareholders.

The company and its board member co-defendants entered into a memorandum of understanding with the plaintiffs June 29 providing for the settlement and dismissal of the action, IDC said in a definitive information statement filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Wednesday....
