3rd Circ. Upholds Verdict For Yacht Finish Maker

Law360, New York (July 2, 2010, 1:09 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit has upheld a jury verdict that found a manufacturer of cosmetic finishes used on luxury yachts is not liable for damages to yacht makers related to customers complaining that the finish cracked.

The appeals court on Thursday ruled that Judge Joseph E. Irenas of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey did not err in his instructions to the jury, which found for defendant Cook Composites and Polymers.
