'Bears' Brawl Over Porn Trademark, Contract Claims

Law360, New York (July 2, 2010, 2:51 PM EDT) -- Bear Omnimedia LLC, which claims to be one of the longest-established erotic periodical and movie brands specifically geared toward a certain gay subculture, is suing former business associate Bear Ink for trademark infringement and breach of contract.

Rick Lassiter, who does business as Bear Ink, failed to pay Bear Omnimedia for goods he agreed to resell and then counterfeited clothing with the company's distinctive Bear mark, according to a complaint filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada.
