Polymer Maker Hits Rival With $60M Antitrust Suit

Law360, New York (July 07, 2010, 6:31 PM ET) -- JPS Elastomerics Corp. has filed a $60 million lawsuit alleging Specialized Technology Resources Inc. abused its dominant position in the market for a specialized polymer used in solar energy cells in an attempt to drive JPS out of the market.

JPS filed its complaint over ethyl vinyl acetate, a low-shrink plastic polymer used for the encapsulation of photovoltaic solar modules, in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts on Wednesday.
