Nortel Sues Arbinet Over Copyrights, Trade Secrets

Law360, New York (July 20, 2004, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Canadian telecom company Nortel Networks Corp. has filed a lawsuit against U.S. rival Arbinet-thExchange Inc over alleged copyright infringement and trade secret misappropriations.

In a complaint filed with the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, Nortel said Arbinet-thexchange Inc. "knowingly and repeatedly engaged in lawful behaviour" by using Nortel’s software without consent.
