Rival Sues Apple, Nike Over iPod Running Product

Law360, New York (February 5, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- PhatRat Technology has filed a lawsuit against Apple Inc. and Nike Inc., alleging the companies infringed its patent for measuring athletic performance with their Nike + iPod Sports Kit.

The suit, filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado, is the latest skirmish in a ongoing patent battle between Apple and PhatRat over the technology.
