Drive For IP Profits Accelerates Q2 Patent Suits

Law360, New York (July 9, 2010, 4:52 PM EDT) -- New patent suits have increased nearly 19 percent in the second quarter of 2010 compared with the same period in 2009, a trend some attorneys say is sparked by both traditional companies and new investors seeking to turn a profit with their patent portfolios as the economy remains shaky.
