Medtronic Faces False Marking Suit Over Stents

Law360, New York (July 12, 2010, 4:30 PM ET) -- Promote Innovation LLC has accused Medtronic Inc. of falsely marking its stents with patents found unenforceable due to inequitable conduct.

Medtronic had no right to mark its Endeavor stent system and other products with two patents declared unenforceable in court, according to a qui tam suit Promote Innovation filed Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.
