Law360, New York (July 13, 2010, 6:17 PM ET) -- Rather than wait for a jury verdict, Abbott Laboratories Inc. and Retractable Technologies Inc. have decided to settle a breach of contract action that involved a marketing and distribution agreement gone bad.
Judge David Folsom of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas signed an order Monday that dismissed the case without prejudice by reason of a settlement. A jury trial was completed that same day, but no verdict had been reached.
