Law360, New York (July 22, 2010, 12:44 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Labor-Management Standards published its Final Rule on “Notification of Employee Rights Under Federal Labor Law” on May 20. Issued to implement the provisions of Executive Order 13496, which was signed by President Barack Obama on Jan. 30, 2009, the rule requires covered federal contractors and subcontractors to post a notice informing employees of the right to unionize and to engage in certain protected activities under the National Labor Relations Act.
