Court Balks At $4.2M Standard Parking Settlement

Law360, New York (July 13, 2010, 12:51 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has declined to give his blessing to a $4.2 million settlement pact between Standard Parking Corp. and a proposed class made up of an estimated 7,000 current and former workers in a wage-and-hour suit, citing concerns about the agreement's fairness and clarity.

Judge A. Howard Matz of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California denied the plaintiffs' bid for preliminary approval of the settlement without prejudice Monday.
