Toyota Hit With Class Action Over Lexus Valve Issue

Law360, New York (July 16, 2010, 1:55 PM ET) -- A California Lexus owner has launched a class action accusing Toyota Motor Corp. of deliberately concealing the faulty valve issue that led to the recent recall of 139,000 Lexuses.

Toyota received reports of valve problems in the cars made by its luxury division as early as March 2007, but did not act, plaintiff Arahim Israel said in a lawsuit filed July 9 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.
