WCO Tariff Change Would Hurt Bissell: Lawmakers

Law360, New York (July 19, 2010, 5:59 PM EDT) -- A move by the World Customs Organization to reclassify carpet deep cleaners as “other electrical appliances” rather than vacuums would harm Bissell Homecare Inc.'s ability to compete by raising import tariffs, two Republican lawmakers have told U.S. trade officials.
