EU Eyes French Insurance For Aircraft Parts Suppliers

Law360, New York (July 20, 2010, 2:31 PM EDT) -- The European Commission has launched a probe into a French program that offers exchange rate risk insurance to companies that supply parts to aircraft manufacturers, citing concerns that the measure may be anti-competitive.

The European Union's antitrust regulator said Tuesday that it opened the formal investigation procedure to determine whether the program is in line with rules on state aid.
