Massey Officials Cop To Charges Over Fatal Mine Fire

Law360, New York (July 20, 2010, 7:11 PM EDT) -- Four former Massey Energy Co. coal mine supervisors pled guilty Tuesday to charges related to a 2006 fire that killed two miners in West Virginia.

The four defendants, who previously worked for Massey unit Aracoma Coal Co., entered written guilty pleas in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia, admitting to one count each of violating mandatory safety standards.
