Senate Panel OKs Solar Power Incentives Bill

Law360, New York (July 21, 2010, 4:10 PM EDT) -- The Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee on Wednesday approved legislation sponsored by Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., that would help finance the installation of more than 10 million solar systems in U.S. homes and businesses over the next 10 years.

Committee members voted 13-10 to advance S. 3460, the 10 Million Solar Roofs Act of 2010, which will now move to the Senate floor for consideration, possibly as part of a forthcoming comprehensive clean energy and climate change bill, Sanders said.
