Philips Settles In Skullcandy Headphone IP Suit

Law360, New York (July 23, 2010, 1:39 PM EDT) -- Philips Electronics North America Corp. has become the latest defendant to settle an infringement suit brought by Skullcandy Inc. over patented technology that lets headphone users alternate between use of a cell phone and music player.

Judge Deen Benson of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas dismissed the case Thursday, following a stipulation of dismissal filed Tuesday by Skullcandy that said the parties had reached a settlement.
