UK Antitrust Agency Reports Uptick In Challenges

Law360, New York (July 23, 2010, 6:55 PM EDT) -- The U.K. Competition Commission said Friday it saw a substantial number of legal challenges to its decisions in 2009, including an ongoing case with BAA Airports Ltd. that could have major impacts on the agency.

The antitrust watchdog said in its annual report that some of the challenges had been resolved easily, but that the ongoing legal wrangle with BAA could force the agency to redo much of its inquiry and call some its practices into question.
