Google, Yahoo Patent Suit Heads To N. District Of Calif.

Law360, New York (July 23, 2010, 3:20 PM EDT) -- A magistrate judge has moved patent-holding company Software Rights Archive LLC's lawsuit accusing Google Inc., Yahoo Inc. and others of infringing patents for Internet indexing and display technology, saying a different venue would be more convenient for the tech giants.

Magistrate Judge Charles Everingham IV of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas said Thursday that the suit should be litigated in the Northern District of California, which is “clearly more convenient.”
