Scientists Urge Senate Action On Global Warming

Law360, New York (February 9, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Scientists who worked on a recent report detailing the long-term effects of global warming told lawmakers on Thursday that Congress needs to take immediate action to understand how best to adapt to the earth’s changing climate.

“Following a detailed diagnosis of the vital signs of planet earth, it has become evident that the planet is running a ‘fever’ and the prognosis is that it is apt to get much worse,” Dr. Kevin Trenberth, coordinating lead author of the report, told the House Science and Technology Committee....
