Acacia Unit Sues BofA, Others Over Trading System

Law360, New York (July 27, 2010, 4:40 PM EDT) -- Bank of America Corp., J.C. Penney Co. Inc., Wells Fargo & Co. and a handful of other companies have been accused by an Acacia Research Corp. unit of infringing two patents for an invoiceless trading system.

Supply Chain Finance Systems LLC filed suit Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, accusing the defendants of practicing the methods covered by one or more claims of U.S. Patent Numbers 7,266,525 and 7,716,130.
