Orion, Sun Settle Patent Spat Over Parkinson's Drugs

Law360, New York (July 27, 2010, 12:29 PM EDT) -- Sun Pharma Global Inc. and Finnish pharmaceutical company Orion Corp. have reached a settlement in patent infringement litigation over Sun's efforts to introduce generic versions of Parkinson's disease treatments Comtan and Stalevo.

Judge Mary L. Cooper of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey approved the parties' proposed consent judgments in two separate cases over the drugs on Monday, dismissing all claims with prejudice pursuant to the terms of a settlement and licensing agreement and ordering each company to bear its own costs...
