St. Jude Goes After Volcano Over Guide Wire Patents

Law360, New York (July 27, 2010, 3:00 PM EDT) -- St. Jude Medical Inc. has accused rival medical device maker Volcano Corp. of infringing five patents that cover a family of pressure guide wire products.

St. Paul, Minn.-based St. Jude filed suit in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware on Tuesday, claiming Volcano's PrimeWire products infringe patents related to St. Jude's PressureWire technology platform.
