SEC Seeks Comment As It Crafts Reform Rules

Law360, New York (July 27, 2010, 6:17 PM EDT) -- As the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission begins to draw up new rules as required under the new financial reform law, the agency said Tuesday that it will seek public comment even before those new regulations are proposed.

In a statement Tuesday, SEC Chairwoman Mary L. Schapiro said the agency will also make it easier for the public to provide comments as it begins to write the new regulations ordered by the the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, signed into law July 21....
