Ex-McAfee Counsel May Face Criminal Charges

Law360, New York (February 12, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- The former general counsel for McAfee Inc., who has been caught up in the options backdating whirlwind that has engulfed the company, may face criminal charges by federal prosecutors as early as this week.

Allegations against Kent Roberts, the software company’s one-time general counsel, may be filed in the next few days or next week, sources close to the case told The Wall Street Journal.
