Chi Mei Exec Takes Jail For TFT-LCD Price-Fixing

Law360, New York (July 28, 2010, 3:26 PM EDT) -- The former director of sales for Taiwan-based Chi Mei Optoelectronics Corp. has agreed to plead guilty and serve time in prison for conspiring to fix the prices of thin film transistor liquid crystal displays, the U.S. Department of Justice said Wednesday.

Wen-Hung “Amigo” Huang will serve 9 months in a U.S. prison and pay a $25,000 fine for his role in the conspiracy if the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California accepts his plea bargain agreement with prosecutors.
