Law360, New York (July 29, 2010, 6:08 PM ET) -- A federal judge has rejected Camtek Ltd.'s bid for a new trial following a jury's $6.8 million damages award to plaintiff Rudolph Technologies Inc. in a patent infringement suit over an automated system for detecting defects in semiconductor wafers.
Judge Michael J. Davis of the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota on Tuesday denied the motion for a new trial, as well as Israel-based Camtek's bids for judgment as a matter of law on literal infringement and lost profits.
