Wachovia Ducks 2 Claims In $15M Lehman Loss Suit

Law360, New York (July 29, 2010, 5:07 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has tossed state law claims in a Florida city's breach of contract suit alleging Wachovia Bank NA cost it $15 million by failing to warn it of Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc.'s imminent demise.

Judge Richard A. Lazzara of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida dismissed claims Tuesday under the state's Securities and Investor Protection Act and its Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act against Wachovia, which was acquired by Wells Fargo & Co. at the end of 2008....
