FDA Uncovers Violations At Sanofi Vaccine Plant

Law360, New York (July 30, 2010, 2:40 PM EDT) -- The vaccines division of Sanofi-Aventis failed to follow manufacturing procedures at a French plant where the pharmaceutical giant makes its Imovax rabies vaccine, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

In a letter released Thursday, the FDA told Sanofi Pasteur SA that it found “significant deviations” from good manufacturing practices at the Marcy l’Etoile plant during an inspection between March 15 and April 2.
