Gaming Guru Garriott Wins $28M Over Firing

Law360, New York (July 30, 2010, 6:02 PM EDT) -- A federal jury has awarded computer gaming pioneer Richard Garriott $28 million in a breach of contract suit alleging his former employer, Korea-based NCsoft Corp., fired him then cost him millions by forcing him to sell his stock options during the depths of the downturn.

A jury in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas found for Garriott Thursday after a three-and-a-half day trial, his attorneys at Fish & Richardson PC said.
