7th Circ. Nixes $2M Award For Alliance In Contract Suit

Law360, New York (August 2, 2010, 3:48 PM EDT) -- A federal appeals court has reversed $2.2 million in damages awarded to logistics provider Alliance 3PL Corp. in a contract spat against trucking company New Prime Inc., finding that New Prime's prior relationship with a customer barred the judgment in Alliance's favor.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit on Monday ruled that the district court should have granted New Prime's motion for judgment as a matter of law and directed the district court to reverse its judgment.
