Apple Swings At Elan In ITC Touch-Screen Patent Suit

Law360, New York (August 4, 2010, 4:25 PM EDT) -- Apple Inc., accused by Elan Microelectronics Corp. before the U.S. International Trade Commission of infringing a touch-screen technology patent, has taken issue with Elan's proposed uncontested facts of the case.

Attorney Michael R. Franziger of Weil Gotshal & Manges LLP took issue with a range of supposedly basic facts, including the effective filing date of the patent-in-suit and its basic description, in papers lodged Tuesday before the ITC.
