RIM, Wal-Mart, T-Mobile Named In Modem IP Suit

Law360, New York (August 5, 2010, 12:33 PM EDT) -- T-Mobile USA Inc., Research In Motion Corp., Wal-Mart Stores Inc. and other retailers and service providers have been tagged in a new lawsuit accusing them of infringing a patent that covers a wireless modem.

Eon Corp. IP Holdings LLC lodged the complaint Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, alleging willful infringement of U.S. Patent Number 5,592,491, titled “Wireless modem,” which it exclusively licenses.
