SAP Won't Fight Liability In Oracle Copyright Battle

Law360, New York (August 5, 2010, 7:54 PM EDT) -- Business software provider SAP AG said Thursday that while it would take responsibility for the copyright infringement on the part of its defunct subsidiary TomorrowNow Inc. alleged in a lawsuit brought by Oracle International Corp., Oracle's damages claims were wildly exaggerated.

SAP filed a trial brief in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California saying that it recognized that TomorrowNow had made mistakes and that Oracle was entitled to compensation for which SAP would take ultimate financial responsibility.
