Law360, New York (August 09, 2010, 5:51 PM ET) -- Workers at a factory in Independence, Mo., have hit affiliates of Anglo-Dutch giant Unilever with a collective action lawsuit under the Fair Labor Standards Act, saying the companies failed to pay them overtime.
The lawsuit was filed Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri against Conopco Inc., Unilever Bestfoods North America, Chesebrough-Pond's Inc., Helene Curtis and Lever Brothers Co. The suit said 200 workers are currently employed at the factory.
