Judge Quashes Northwest Shareholders' Subpoenas

Law360, New York (February 14, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- A judge presiding over Northwest Airlines Corp.’s Chapter 11 case on Wednesday quashed subpoenas issued by the ad hoc committee of equity security holders, which had hoped to dig up information about the airline’s financial status and merger prospects.

In a boost for the airline, U.S. Bankruptcy Court Judge Allan Gropper said the subpoenas would interrupt Northwest’s case and reveal its rivals’ trade secrets, the Associated Press reported.
