Employment Litigation Trends: Technology

Law360, New York (February 14, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Slapped with 140 employment-related lawsuits in 2006, telecommunications giant Verizon Communications Inc. faced a dizzying array of complaints brought by its workforce this past year, according to our survey of the top 50 technology companies.

While alleged violations of the Employment Retiree Income Security Act appeared to be the most common complaints lodged against the technology industry, a steady stream of employee discrimination cases continued to plague the sector as well.
