Icahn Extends Lionsgate Tender Offer Pending Suit

Law360, New York (August 11, 2010, 5:15 PM EDT) -- Carl Icahn extended his tender offer for Lions Gate Entertainment Corp. on Wednesday in order to give a Canadian court time to hear his claims that the company is using a debt-to-equity deal to shut out the billionaire investor.

Icahn, who remains Lionsgate's largest shareholder, extended the expiration date on his $6.50 per share tender offer from Aug. 25 to Oct. 22 while the Supreme Court of British Columbia hears his case against the company.
