Deep Nines, McAfee Settle Network Security IP Spat

Law360, New York (August 12, 2010, 3:10 PM EDT) -- McAfee Inc. and a subsidiary have agreed to a settlement in a patent infringement suit brought by network security company Deep Nines Inc. over technology to enhance security in communications networks.

Judge Ron Clark of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas on Wednesday dismissed the claims against McAfee and wholly owned subsidiary Secure Computing LLC, following a mutual agreement between the parties.

Further details on the settlement were not available, and representatives for the companies could not be reached for comment Thursday....
