Panasonic, JVC Units Exit 337 Probe Over Circuits

Law360, New York (August 12, 2010, 2:15 PM EDT) -- A U.S. International Trade Commission administrative law judge has dropped respondents Panasonic Semiconductor Discrete Devices Co. Ltd. and JVC Kenwood Holdings Inc. from an investigation over three Freescale Semiconductor Inc. chipset and integrated circuit patents.

Administrative Law Judge Paul J. Luckern issued an initial determination Monday letting the two companies off the hook, in response to a confidential motion filed July 21 by Freescale attorney Barry Shelton of Bracewell & Giuliani LLP.
