Law360, New York (August 13, 2010, 2:44 PM ET) -- In an order both sides described as slightly peculiar, a federal appeals court has affirmed without comment that Andrew Corp. must pay $43 million in damages for infringing a TruePosition Inc. patent covering cell phone locator technology.
A three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit on Thursday upheld both an initial $23.25 million award and a follow-up award of $20 million. It also affirmed a permanent injunction against Andrew.
