Combined Insurance Strikes $6M Deal In Wage Suit

Law360, New York (August 13, 2010, 1:43 PM ET) -- A federal judge has preliminarily approved a $6 million settlement on behalf of California-based sales agents, sales managers and territory directors in their wage-and-hour class action against Combined Insurance Co. of America.

Judge John A. Mendez of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California tentatively approved the settlement and proposed class notice Thursday. He also granted preliminarily approval of $2.1 million in attorneys' fees and costs to Initiative Legal Group APC, which represents the plaintiffs in the matter.
