Pepper Hamilton Loses Rangers CEO To Reed Smith

Law360, New York (August 17, 2010, 3:32 PM EDT) -- The new CEO of the Texas Rangers — who recently won control of the team in bankruptcy court — has moved from Pepper HamiltonLLP, where he headed the firm's sports practice, to Reed Smith LLP as counsel.

Charles M. “Chuck” Greenberg led a group of investors, including Hall of Fame pitcher Nolan Ryan, to victory in a bidding war for ownership of the Rangers in bankruptcy court on Aug. 5. He is jumping to Reed Smith, where he will be a senior attorney, the firm said Monday.
