MGA Says Mattel Stole Trade Secrets In Bratz Spat

Law360, New York (August 17, 2010, 11:47 AM EDT) -- In the long-running intellectual property dispute over Bratz dolls, MGA Entertainment Inc. has accused Mattel Inc. of racketeering and stealing trade secrets because its employees allegedly lied about their identities to sneak into into the private showrooms of competitors and record what they saw.

MGA heaved the claims at Mattel in a filing Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, laying out Mattel's alleged corporate espionage plot against at least a dozen toy companies from 1992 to 2006.
