Watson CEO Must Face FTC Subpoena: Judge

Law360, New York (August 17, 2010, 7:30 PM EDT) -- The CEO of Watson Pharmaceuticals Inc. should be forced to testify in a Federal Trade Commission investigation into whether the drugmaker entered a pay-for-delay deal with Cephalon Inc., a magistrate judge has ruled.

Though the FTC's investigative methods are “questionable,” the commission serving a subpoena on Watson CEO Paul M. Bisaro is not abusive, Magistrate Judge Alan Kay said Tuesday in a report issued in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.
