Sanofi Wants FDA Approval Of Generic Lovenox Nixed

Law360, New York (August 18, 2010, 1:21 AM EDT) -- A federal judge heard Sanofi-Aventis U.S. LLC's bid Tuesday to force the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to withdraw its approval for a generic version of its anticoagulant Lovenox but didn't rule on the drugmaker's motion.

Judge Emmet G. Sullivan of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia has taken under advisement Sanofi-Aventis' motion for a temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction requiring the withdrawal, according to a minute entry on the Tuesday hearing.
